Atlantic writer Jemele Hill announced plans to launch a new Spotify podcast called Unbothered on Tuesday.

The sports news anchor expressed her excitement about working with Spotify on Twitter.

"Very excited to be partnering w/ @Spotify. We’re about to do some AMAZING things," she wrote.

"Spotify and I are very like-minded," Hill wrote in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. "We both believe in being bold and authentic. I am thrilled to get the opportunity to stretch myself in a much different way, with a support system that I believe will bring out the best in me."

In a separate tweet, the journalist, who made her name working in sports reporting at ESPN, explained the podcast would cover a wide variety of topics.

"It won’t be a sports podcast, FYI. I’ll dip into here and there. It’s an everything podcast," she wrote.

As the New York Daily News reports, Hill has covered various beats in the past, having worked for a time as one of the only female Black sports reporters while at the Orlando Sentinel. Following her work there, she joined ESPN. Hill worked for that network for 12 years, first as a reporter, and later as one of the anchors of SportsCenter.

As Blavity has reported, Hill has made waves in recent years with her social and political analysis. Some of her editorial work, such as tweets about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones did not sit well with the network, so she moved on to cover social and political topics at The Atlantic.

Her newest venture will go live in March and will feature two 60 to 75-minute episodes a week discussing and analyzing sports, pop culture, music and politics.
