Just a day after lead actor Andre Braugher received an Emmy nomination for his work on the series Men of a Certain Age, the network that carries the show, TNT, announced that it will not renew it for a 3rd season.

And just like that, Mr Braugher’s future was uncertain.

However, he just might be able to secure his immediate future, as he is reportedly “in negotiations” to play an attorney on Law & Order: SVU.

The role will be a recurring one; Braugher will play a lawyer who represents the underprivileged, and who may get close to Det. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay).

Well la-di-dah… just how close are we talking?

But seriously, Braugher is yet another one of those solid actors who really should be in continuous demand, and for a variety of parts.
