Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis proved he scores on and off the court, marrying his wife with a wedding of everyone's dreams over the weekend. Davis married his longtime partner Marlen P. in a Los Angeles ceremony that featured the likes of a few notable celebrities, including teammates LeBron James and Russell Westbrook, as well as Rich Paul's now Instagram-official girlfriend Adele.
As if the star-studded wedding ceremony didn't gain enough social media attention, the couple's reception certainly took them over the edge.
The Lakers player gave everyone the Black love celebration of the year as he serenaded his wife with a rendition of "Never Make a Promise" by Dru Hill.

But Davis dug deep into his '90s bag and even joined New Edition for a quick performance of "If It Isn't Love."
One of the guests captured a video of the fun day, showcasing the group in the background. Additional guests included Jared Dudley, Quinn Cook, and former teammates, including DeMarcus Cousins, according to Essence.
News of the basketball star's wedding may come as a shock to many fans, considering the couple's extremely low profile. However, those close to the couple have seen Davis and his new wife together since at least 2017. The couple also shares a daughter, Nala, who was born in 2017.
Despite the couple's quiet family life, Marlen and Nala were in Orlando through the NBA's bubble season in 2020, where the Lakers secured another championship. At the time, Davis opened up about his family, sharing that it was nice to have them with him during the season.
“For sure. Like you said, when you go back home, if this was a regular scenario, you would go back home and see your family, things like that. So, you kind of just take your mind away from the game. And having my family here, it definitely helps,” he told Open Court. “But it’s still hard to sleep. It’s still hard not to think about. Even though it takes the edge off a little bit, you’re super eager to just get back on the floor and get ready for the next game. But I think my family being here definitely helps me tremendously.”
