August Alsina released a cryptic video on Instagram on Tuesday, letting his 6 million fans know that his next album will be his last.

"To all the loved 1’s who support me; These last couple projects are likely to be the last you see/hear of August Alsina. W/ that said, it is my hope that we can enjoy each other while I’m here, on my last victory lap around the sun. I’ll strive to make it as nostalgic as possible for you w/ beautiful tunes & high vibes. With great love, always. -AA," the singer, who recently celebrated his 29th birthday on Sept. 3, wrote.

He then released a photo, telling fans "may the next musical run be a fun and cherished one."

Fans reacted to the video on social media, seemingly alarmed and hoping he wasn't referring to the terminal illness he's publicly discussed.

In 2015, the "Kissin' On My Tattoos" singer revealed he was battling genetic liver disease, the U.S. Sun reports. According to the publication, the disease occurs when there's too much iron, a lack of AAT protein or excess copper in the body.

The onset of the illness can cause fatigue, joint pain and abdominal pain.

The same year the musical artist announced his battle with the genetic medical condition, he underwent eye surgery due to an "eye disease that was causing him to blind."

In a candid interview with radio personality Angela Yee while promoting his album The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy, he discussed his past relationship with actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

"I sat down with Will Smith and had a conversation due to the transformation from their marriage to life partnership that they've spoken about numerous times," Alsina said. "He gave me his blessing, and I gave myself to that relationship for years of my life. I truly have a ton of love for her. I devoted myself to her and gave myself to her. I loved a person, and I experienced that."

In 2018, the "Pretty" singer gained custody of his late brother's daughters after their mother, Chandra, passed away due to cancer. His brother, Melvin, was shot to death in New Orleans in 2010 and his case remains unresolved.

In an interview with People, he called his nieces "beautiful kids with beautiful energy."

"I'm excited to see life unfold for them, and I want to be as present as I possibly can within their life while still being able to show them what it looks like to have a career," he said.

Before her untimely death, the "Entanglements" singer recounted a text message he received from Chandra about being a parent.

"As she was making plans to leave this earth, she texted me, 'All this time you've been running from being a parent, from having kids, and now you're forced to,'" he recounted. "I'm like, 'I just play the cards that life deals me, and I'll figure everything out.' She said, 'You always do.' And she went to sleep, and that was that."
