Bernie Sanders recently took to Twitter to let us know that our girl Cardi B has a valid point regarding social security. In addition to dropping her debut album and killing the Coachella stage, Cardi recently made comments about President Franklin D. Roosevelt and social security that are getting attention. 

When it comes to FDR, the "Get Up 10" rapper makes it clear she's a fan. 

"He's the real 'Make America Great Again'" president, Cardi said in a GQ interview published earlier this month. "Because if it weren't for him, old people wouldn't even get Social Security."

When her quote made it to Social Security's official Twitter, Bernie Sanders quickly let us know that he agreed with the Bronx rapper.

"Cardi B is right," Sanders wrote. "If we are really going to make America great we need to strengthen Social Security so that seniors are able to retire with the dignity they deserve." 

Sanders has made a name for himself as a fan favorite politician of many millennial voters. Though he lost the 2016 Democratic nomination to Hillary Clinton, he is considered a front-runner for 2020.
