For devoted fans of any artist, there is nothing that takes your fandom to new levels like singing along and dancing with your fave live in concert. But, when it comes to cherishing those memories, no live performance experience is complete without having some exclusive merchandise to take home. Now with an investment from Beyoncé and other artists, the Sidestep app cuts out the hassle of long lines and puts merchandise in concert attendees hands within seconds.

After using the app for two weeks to sell products like “Boycott Beyoncé” tees and sweatshirts with her middle fingers up during the Formation World Tour, Beyoncé invested $150,000 in the startup company, Sidestep. Over the past year the application has garnered over $2 million in sales and the money continues to stack up as investments from Bey, Jared Leto, and others have reached near $1.7 million.

When he began working with her for FWT, CEO Eric Jones told TechCrunch he and his team “wanted Beyoncé’s tour to be very focused on tech” and that’s exactly what it is.

Whether you’re shouting in the stands or sitting in the comfort of your home, products from your favorite artists can be purchased on the app and picked up at the concert or delivered straight to your doorstep. The business venture is a smart move for Bey and Parkwood Entertainment as the rise in demand for quality merchandise from artists falls within the lane of what many new entertainers are doing to offset the costs of declining album sales, due to streaming services.

But Bey doesn’t have to worry about missing those checks either.

As an investor in TIDAL music, the Queen makes sure to get her pennies worth in streaming services while also maintaining stakeholder partnerships in WTRMLN WTR, a cold-pressed watermelon juice company, a vegan food company, her IVY Park merch, as well as a potential investment in Juicero. Needless to say, the woman is stacking paper even in her sleep, but honestly when does she even have time to do that?

Divas always stay getting money.
