Although music icon Beyoncé has been performing on stage since she was young, her mom and former manager said she nearly had a panic attack every time her daughter attempted an elaborate stunt during one of her tours.

On Thursday, Tina Knowles-Lawson shared a video from Bey’s 2009 I Am … World Tour, recalling how stressed out she was watching her daughter perform aerial backflips wearing a harness.

In the video, Bey can be seen flipping through the air while being hoisted up in a wire-based harness as her hit-song “Baby Boy” plays to the cheers of thousands of people in the arena.

“Lord This tour was very stressful I prayed through this segment every night!” she wrote, adding that she “aged 10 years on this tour!”

Knowles-Lawson exclaimed that the gravity-defying spectacle, while impressive, is one of Beyoncé's “extra” tour stunts that she could do without.

“As my fearless child flipped 20 times hundreds of feet into the air!! ????????????????I was like ‘can't you just spin around on the stage?[‘] Do you have to be so extra!!!” she said.

Despite the mother’s concern, members of the Bey hive defended their queen, reminding Knowles-Lawson that the diva gets her extravagant ways from her mama.

“You always say 'you gotta do it BIG BIG BIG BIG .. to make it BIG !' Lol she get it from her Mama Tina! ????❤️” Emmy award-winning actor Terrence Terrell wrote in a comment on the post.

Sports journalist and cultural commentator Jemele Hill added “Listen, I saw her walk on water in Baltimore. Greatest performer of this generation. I said what I said.”

The I Am… World Tour concluded in 2010, after a total of 108 shows that were both in the states and in four other countries. The 39-year-old singer’s fourth tour was produced to support her third studio project, I Am (2008), according to Complex.

Earlier this week, the 67-year-old fashion designer shared her thoughts on the “Jayonce Leg Rub,” after fans said they noticed a trend of rapper Jay-Z publicly displaying his affection for Bey following the Brooklyn Nets playoff game on Saturday, as Blavity previously reported

Fans later opened a discussion on social media regarding the significance of Jay-Z touching Bey’s legs with some suggesting that the “Halo” singer suffers from anxiety issues.

As any good mom would, Knowles-Lawson shot down the speculation and expressed to fans that the act of physical touch can also be a way for couples to express their affection and grow closer.

“When you love someone and like them you just want to touch them,” she wrote in the caption. “Me and Richard are always touching even if it’s just our feet ! Yeah!! That’s what you do ! For those of you who don’t understand, Try it sometimes it works !! Human Touch is how you stay connected!!”

The fashion entrepreneur has been married to actor Richard Lawson since 2015. Queen Bey’s mom was divorced from Matthew Knowles, the singer’s father, in 2011.
