A 9-year-old Pennsylvania boy was looking to do a good deed when he became the subject of a racist tirade.

Newsweek reports Rev. G.L. Riley and his son, Brian Thomas-Riley, were trying to help an elderly tenant in their apartment building when she began verbally attacking them. The father posted video footage of the encounter on his Facebook page.

The angry old woman pushed the door closed as Brian went to help open it for her.

"I was here helping open the door for Susie,” Brian told WPXI. “But Susie slammed the door and almost hit my face."

"He pushed the door a third of the way open, and you heard, ‘Get away you little [slur] boy,’” Riley told the outlet.

Riley rushed to defend his son. According to WPXI, Riley said the woman continued to be belligerent toward them both. She called Riley the slur, as well, forcing him to call authorities.

“This was just cold and blatant,” he said.

Police arrived on the scene, and he filed a formal complaint.

It turns out the woman at the center of the racial incident has been verbally abusive to other residents. The apartment building manager told the local news outlet she had been served an eviction notice for her latest transgression.

"It's injustice. Period. And people need to be accountable for their action,” Riley said.
