If you are ever in Winfield, Kansas, make sure you car is completely clean, or you could get detained for tree leaves falling on your car.

Rudy Samuel was pulled over by Winfield Police Department officers on May 13, for failing to turn on his turn signal within 100 feet. Samuel went live on Facebook to document the interaction while the officers were running his license and registration.

When they returned to Samuel’s car, the conversation was routine until one of them pointed out “vegetation” in the window well above the dashboard.

Shocked and understandably annoyed, Samuel told them it was “tree stuff” and said he didn’t smoke. Initally, the officer said he would test the debris and took a sample back to the car. When he returned, the officer said he wanted to search the car and tried to get Samuel to step out of his car. When he refused, the officers forcibly removed and detained him so they could search the car.

The video goes black but Samuel can be heard questioning the officers’ rights to detain and search him. He also admitted there was a legal fire arm in the car.

“I give no permission, no consent for you to search my vehicle. You have to test that before you search my vehicle,” said Samuel. “My uncle is a police officer, I'm not stupid.”

The video ends moments later.

According to The Cowley Courier Traveler, Winfield Police Chief Brett Stone refused to comment on the incident because “he still had a lot of information to get before he could make any kind of judgment about the incident.”

No drugs were found and Samuel was released with a warning, reports News Cow.
