We have dealt with this film often enough on S & A though U.S. screenings have been very far and few in between, since it was shown at the 2010 New York Film Festival.
The film will screen this month at the Pan African Film Festival in L.A.
And fortunately for people in the Chicago area who have been dying to see Abedellatif Kechiche's highly controversial film about Saartjie Baartman, Black Venus (Venus Noire), you will get your chance next month.
The film will be shown at the Gene Siskel Film Center in downtown Chicago on Saturday March 3 at 2:15PM, and again on Tuesday March 6 at 7:30PM as part of the Center's 15th annual European Union Film Festival.
