Many stars appeared to be about the Met Gala’s theme but the LGBTQ community got the memo.

The theme of the night was Camp, inspired by the 1964 essay penned by academic Susan Sontag, “Notes on Camp."

“Camp is a vision of the world in terms of style — but a particular kind of style,” Sontag wrote. “It is the love of the exaggerated, the ‘off,’ of things-being-what-they-are-not.”

In laymen's terms, camp translates to extra as hell. It essential takes tacky and makes it fashion.

Per usual, there were some people who showed up looking like they were going to the prom but some our faves saved the day with their looks.
