With the release and success of his 2011 comedy film Anuvahood, which he co-wrote and co-directed, British actor Adam Deacon is poised to become a formidable force on the British film scene. The Hackney, North-East London native– who's also of Moroccan descent– was recently named to the longlist for BAFTA's Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award 2012, and could use your votes.
If you have yet to see Deacon's most recent film, Anuvahood, you may already know him from his previous films, including Kidulthood, Adulthood, and Shank.
According to the BAFTA site:
Between now and early January, all Orange customers will be able to vote for their favourite actor via this website and the Orange Film Club Facebook page.
On Wednesday 11th January the longlist of eight will be whittled down to five nominees at nominations announcement at BAFTA HQ, and members of the general public will be allowed to vote for their favourite.
