Through the development of this competition, Arista is empowering African-American women everywhere by showing that fulfilling your dreams isn’t unrealistic, it’s simply a matter of putting in the hard work and dedication. Arista is showing women that it is possible to break the molds that society has built by succeeding as a self-made entrepreneur while also teaching women how to train hard, eat properly and inspire others to live joyfully.

Staying healthy while attempting to get fit can be a difficult task in this world where beauty is perceived with “skinny-starve-yourself” perceptions. Arista is showing women that there are other options out there other than dangerous calorie restrictive diets. She shows that eating healthy and gaining muscle mass isn’t something to throw your arms up in the air and run away from; it’s something to embrace.

Through Center Stage Championships, Arista hopes to be able to reach women that fear the idea of gaining muscle and bulking up and convince them that in the realm of fitness and beauty, muscle is their best friend because strong is sexy. Additionally, Arista is also focused on boosting the self-esteem of young African American women by setting a positive example of making a lifelong dream a reality.
