Charlamagne Tha God blasted Kanye West when he addressed the rapper’s latest controversial comments. Unleashing his rant on his show, The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne said Kanye is “moving like a person who doesn’t feel like he’s gonna be here much longer.”
As Blavity previously reported, Kanye stirred up controversy Thursday when he sat down for an interview on Alex Jones’ Infowars show and defended Hitler.
“They did good things too, we are gonna stop dissing the Nazis,” Kanye said. “I like Hitler.”
Kanye, according to Charlamagne, is “definitely a clown.”
“And I know that y’all think this is just about antisemitism, but what Kanye is doing right now is more than dangerous,” Charlamagne said. “That man needs to be committed to an institution. … We are watching a manic episode in real time, and it’s getting progressively worse.”
In his interview with Alex Jones, Kanye claimed that Hitler invented the highway and the microphone. Charlamagne addressed those claims on his show.
“Hitler did not invent highways and he did not invent the microphone,” he said. “Even if he did, that does not justify the murder of 6 million people. No.”
Adding to the history lesson, Charlamagne said it was a Black inventor named James West who invented the electret microphone, which 90% of people use today.
“If Kanye ever read a book, he would know that,” Charlamagne said.
