Finally!
Cinedigm Entertainment has acquired North American distribution rights to Geoffrey Fletcher’s feature film directorial debut Violet & Daisy, which made its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last fall, but, until now, had yet to secure an official release date; although in an interview we did with Fletcher in April, he told us the film would be out in the fall.
Cinedigm will release the film in theaters in 2013 (although no exact date is given), with plans to also release via on-demand, digital and DVD platforms.
The cast includes Saoirse Ronan, Alexis Bledel, James Gandolfini, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Danny Trejo in what has been described as a “Thelma and Louise meets Superbad meets Pulp Fiction” story.
Ronan and Bledel play a pair of teenage assassins lured into what is supposed to be just another quick and easy job, only to find complications as the man they’re supposed to kill is not who they expected.
There really hasn't been much official media released of the film; a few stills, but no trailer, nor clips yet, except for the poster below; although I'm guessing by the time the film is released, we'll see a new poster, and of course, eventually a trailer:
