The Cobb County Police Department has released a statement after an officer was filmed grabbing the throat of a concertgoer at a Jack Harlow concert in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to TMZ, Cobb County Police Department confirmed it's conducting an internal investigation after rapper Jack Harlow shared the video to his 4.4 million Instagram followers.

"The Cobb County Police Department takes any and all allegations of officer misconduct very seriously," a spokesperson for Cobb County PD said. "We are aware of the video snippet posted to Instagram involving our officer and a young woman outside the Coca-Cola Roxy. The incident is going through an internal review to get a full understanding of the entire incident before any potential action is taken."

In the 13-second video, a young woman argues with two police officers telling them she wants to attend the show. One officer appeared to press his hand against her neck, pushing her away from him.

The incident transpired at the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta on Tuesday as part of Harlow's The Crème De La Crème Tour. According to his Instagram post on Thursday, the video came to his attention "a few hours ago," and he was disturbed by what he saw.

"When I watched it, I was disgusted by that cop, and all I wanted to do was make something good happen for this girl immediately. I told the world to help me identify her so I could find a way to give her a hug and give her as many tickets to as many shows as she wants, the Kentucky-born rapper wrote. The next step is identifying this police officer and getting him unemployed as fast as we can."

"Assaulting a young woman and putting his hands on her neck is sickening," he continued. "I want this woman, and every Black woman that supports me to know – I am so sorry. I want you to be protected and I want this guy to lose his job so fucking fast. I love you. Let's find this officer."

Cobb County Police Department has not released the names of the officers involved in the video.
