At this point, we all know that Colin Kaepernick will go down in history. His path of resistance has created something amazing, and his efforts definitely have not gone unnoticed. So much so that he's this year's GQ Citizen of The Year. 

As GQ states, "kneeling during the national anthem changed everything. It cost him his job. It also transformed Colin Kaepernick into a lightning rod and a powerful symbol of activism and resistance."
