Aunty Maxine Waters spoke at an event on June 23, encouraging those who have unwelcomed Trump administration aides from their businesses, and the comments thoroughly shook conservatives.

The View co-host and Sen. John McCain’s daughter, Meghan McCain, took to Twitter to announce she found Water’s actions to be both “insane” and “dangerous.”

“My father in law works in the administration, does this mean when we go out to dinner we should be ambushed?!? Don’t ever again give me any of the ‘when they go low, we go high’ lip service,’” McCain wrote.

During the event, Waters referenced the treatment of migrant families crossing the Mexican border. According to The Hill, the Trump administration has separated more than 2,000 migrant children from their parents. Some of the public who cannot stomach the idea have fought back by denying service to Trump’s aides.

Most recently, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave from The Red Hen, a restaurant in Virginia. Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen experienced a similar situation when she was asked to leave a Mexican restaurant for the same reasons.

“If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters told the crowd.

Those in the Trump administration continue to be pressured and criticized in public, and, despite McCain’s distaste, there is no letting up in sight.

The president himself fired back at Representative Waters with a vaguely threatening tweet on Monday, warning the Congresswoman to "be careful what you wish for Max." The president also called Waters "an extraordinarily low IQ person":

Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), the House Minority Leader, was also called out in the president's tweet. While Waters has yet to respond, Pelosi tweeted a call for "unity."
