nullI’m sure a lot of you already know Miles Maker and/or his work, especially if you’re a creative (he’s quite active, and has worn several hats over the years, from production through distribution), so I’ll save the prologue. But even if you don’t, the below pitch video for what will be his next project – a passion project for him, as he says – should serve as an intro.

Miles has launched an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise $200,000 for "If We Left," a dramatic feature that is based on the inspiring true story of, in brief, a cook and a janitor who did the right thing, when the assisted living home in California where they worked, was shut down, and many of its elderly residents were left behind, with nowhere to go – actions that led to the Residential Care for the Elderly Reform Act of 2014.

"If We Left" will tell their story – one that I think speaks to, not only the humanity in us all, but also the expected progression of the lives we all live.

In the interest of time, with 49 days to go until the campaign ends, I’ll just guide you to the project’s Indiegogo page, where you’ll find everything you need to know about it, a breakdown or how the funds raised will be used, and more: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/if-we-left-a-true-story-movie#/story.
