Our favorite college dorm meal is venturing into new territory, unfortunately.
Cup Noodles has announced that it will introduce four soup-flavored sodas as its parent company, Nissin Foods, celebrates its 50th anniversary, ABC 13 reports. The four flavors include the original Cup Noodle flavor, a curry flavor, a seafood-cream flavor and a chili-tomato flavor. Customers who want to explore can preorder the complete set on its website through Sept. 17 or can purchase a soda individually at online retail stores.
A couple folks who caught wind of the announcement aren't intrigued.
Cream soda and seafood flavors should never mix. ????

A pumpkin-spice noodle soup will also be available during the 50th anniversary celebration in stores in October. We know how divided Black Twitter is when it comes to pumpkin spice.
In addition to the new flavors, Nissin Foods is continuing the celebration with a contest called "Use Your Noodle," where customers can submit original, out-of-the-box food ideas beginning on Saturday.
Teen chef and social media personality Eitan Bernath and Nissin Foods president and CEO Michael J. Price will choose the winner based on creativity, originality and quality. The innovator will be awarded $50,000 to help fund their food idea.
Rules and guidelines about the contest are available on the Nissin Food website. The deadline to submit is Oct. 15.
