No, not High Noon, as in the 1952 Fred Zinnemann classic western starring Gary Cooper, but High Moon

Dana Davis and Peter Macon have been cast as regulars in Syfy’s pilot High Moon, from Bryan Fuller.

The potential new series centers on the colonization of the moon by earthlings, claiming its resources, and discovering new life form.

Davis (primarily a TV actress, with regular roles in series like Franklin & Bash most recently, as well as Heroes, and 10 Things I Hate About You) will play Yama Winehart, described as the first (and last) child ever born on the Moon, who carries a pre-natal anti-gravity condition that means she can never leave the Moon, giving her a special connection with it.

And Macon (primarily a stage actress, although he’s appeared in parts here and there on TV) will play Yama’s father, General Gale Lynn Winehart, described as a tough American Army General with years of battle experience, who’s able to cut through the bullshit and surface of things.
