British actors David Oyelowo and David Gyasi have joined the growing cast of Christopher Nolan’s super-secret sci-fi project Interstellar, according to TheWrap.

The busy Oyelowo and Gyasi, who last appeared on screen together in Red Tails, add to an ensemble that already includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, Michael Caine, John Lithgow, Ellen Burstyn, and others.

A strong cast there! Although no word on what roles each of these actors has signed up to play.

Available synopsis reads:

In the future, governments and economies across the globe have collapsed, food is scarce, NASA is no more, and for it the 20th Century is to blame. A mysterious rip in spacetime opens and it’s up to whatever is left of NASA to explore and offer up hope for mankind.

We just love our dystopian cinema don’t we?

To be directed by Christopher Nolan, from a script written by him and his brother Jonathan Nolan, from a treatment by Kip Thorne and producer Lynda Obst, Interstellar will be produced by Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures, through Nolan’s and Emma Thomas’ Syncopy Inc.

It is scheduled to be released on November 7, 2014.

Up next for Oyelowo, look for him in The Butler, and Cynthia Mort’s Nina Simone film; he’s also attached to play Sugar Ray Robinson, signed up for an indie drama titled Nightingale, and will be reuniting with director Ava DuVernay to play MLK in Selma.

As for Gyasi, who’s worked with Nolan previously in The Dark Knight Rises, and was most recently seen in Cloud Atlas, he’ll join fellow Brit John Boyega in a new BBC Two feature drama titled The Whale, based on the the book, The Loss of the Ship Essex, Sunk by A Whale.
