Debra Lee is calling the shots as BET’s CEO, and now she’s making boss moves at Twitter. She landed a huge role as the newest addition Twitter’s Board of Directors.

Although Twitter had a rocky start to the New Year, CEO Jack Dorsey has stuck to his plan in regards to diversifying the company’s leadership. With Lee joining the board, she is now the third woman to hold the title and the first black appointee. With Twitter only having 2% of black employees, they are hoping this is a step in the direction. Lee took to Twitter, naturally, to celebrate her latest accomplishment.
Between this and hearing Twitter will no longer count links and photos in the overall characters used in a Tweet we don’t how to act!
