The North Korea summit is near — the big day is Tuesday, June 12, in fact — and all eyes are on President Donald Trump and North Korea leader Kim Jong Un.
Well, almost all eyes. Kim's BFF Dennis Rodman is drawing his fair share of attention, too.
We recently reported Rodman wasn't officially invited to the summit, according to Trump. However, the fact that the State Department didn't buy Rodman a plane ticket didn't keep him from traveling to Singapore on his own!
According to the Associated Press, Rodman arrived around midnight on Monday. Rodman had said he would “give whatever support is needed” to his “friends" last week.
Just arrived to Singapore for the Historical Summit! Looking forward to @POTUS having incredible success that the whole world will benefit by. “I’m just happy to be a part of [the historic summit] … I think I brought a lot of awareness to people around the world,” Rodman told reporters, according to FOX News.
And in more "wouldn't have expected that" news, Kim was spotted participating in a selfie, which was posted on social media Monday.

According to The Hill, the North Korean leader toured Singapore on Monday ahead of his highly anticipated meeting with Trump to discuss Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program. The summit will mark the first time a sitting U.S. president has sat down with a North Korean leader.
