A woman from Detroit says she was on a flight home from a trip to Las Vegas when she was awoken out of her sleep to a man urinating on her leg. 

Alicia Beverly was sleeping next to her sister on the plane late on Monday when she said she felt “something warm” that alarmed her, Fox 2 reports. When she awoke, she was at eye level with the man’s torso, who was still relieving himself. Beverly said she screamed loud enough to wake most of the passengers on the red eye flight. 

"I jump up and I seen his private area out and I screamed and that woke everybody up," Beverly said. "By that time I actually looked at him and I see him shake himself off and I’m like this man just peed on me! I looked and there was a puddle of pee in the seats!"

After he finished with the act, Beverly said the man was detained by an off-duty police officer moments later. 

The man, confirmed to be a popular North Carolina-area pastor by Fox 2, was said to be having an adverse reaction to a sleeping aid. 

"He didn’t say anything the whole time he was standing there," Beverly said.

For hours, the woman sat in the dirty, wet clothes before arriving home in Detroit. When the flight landed, the pastor was taken into custody but no charges have been levied against the man yet. According to Fox 2, the FBI presides over incidents in air space and will decide whether he'll face any criminal charges. 

The Law and Crime, a legal news outlet, reports that any charges brought against the man would likely be federal. 

With the humiliating event behind her, Beverly said she’s thankful for the fast-acting officer but admitted being traumatized by the incident. 

"I left work yesterday because I couldn’t stay but I had to tell them why I needed to leave. It was a lot. My anxiety was really high literally. Since then I have only gotten 4 hours of sleep," she said.

According to The Sun, the FBI said in a statement that the pastor was given a court appearance order for a misdemeanor assault and was later released.

"Until he appears in front of a judge (and therefore gets formally charged), we will not be releasing his name or any additional information about the incident."

Representatives for the pastor have not elaborated on or confirmed any details of the story, Fox 2 reports. Delta airlines officials have referred media publications to local police authorities.
