In his time as a running back for the Atlanta Falcons, Devonta Freeman has been making a name for himself. While football has been his livelihood for a few years now, Freeman wants to make it clear: helping his family is his main priority.

On the eve of his 25th birthday, Freeman sat down with ESPN to talk about his future in the league. Unsurprisingly, his plans included his four sisters: Shinice, Keyuna, Clenice and Jerniya, who he just moved into a homey Atlanta neighborhood.

"I want to pay for all of them to go to college," Freeman said in his interview. The Falcon considers himself an advocate of education; he's still enrolled in college courses at Florida State, with plans to continue and complete his own academic career.

Yes, feels!

"I want to try and show them and teach them that school is fun, if you do it the right way, if you go to school with a purpose. You have to have a purpose for everything in life. And when you get to see the results, it’s very fun." Freeman shared that his sisters have very ambitious life goals that he supports to the fullest. He's already in talks with advisors at his own university and Georgia State to discuss plans for Shinice and Keyuna, the two oldest of his four sisters.

The Pro Bowl athlete has been financially responsible in his first few years in the NFL, according to ESPN. He's approaching the last year of his contract which he's hoping to extend. His loyalty to the city of Atlanta runs deep, but devotion to his family and to the game still rank supreme. He's leaving it all up to faith.

"God knows my heart. I’m definitely doing this all to take care of my family and help others and even just put my family in a better situation … I don’t play the game of football for the money. I play the game of football for the love. But fortunately, if you do good in football, you get rewarded very well. I’m going to take that, too. You’ve got to."

Keep it going, Devonta!
