Dwayne Johnson has updated his fans on the condition of his mother after her near-fatal car accident Thursday.

Vibe reports according to the Hollywood A-Lister that Johnson posted a picture on Instagram of his mother Ata Johnson’s wrecked Cadillac truck. In his caption, he called is mother a “survivor.”

“Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night. She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated,” he wrote. “This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head on collision with a drunk driver. She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.”

“…I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ’em hard, cos you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get,” he continued.

The accident involved Johnson’s mother being hit on her car’s passenger side, according to Vibe. But the outlet also reported that the details that led to the accident have not been made public yet.

Johnson’s strong emotional core for his family comes through in many of his projects, including DC film Black Adam, whose eponymous character gains his powers from an event that happened within his family. Johnson spoke with Shadow and Act’s managing editor last fall to promote Black Adam. During the interview, he talked about how he approached Black Adam’s characterization.

“There were a few things that I felt were characteristic story point anchors that we should tell and deliver to the audience as we’re telling Black Adam’s origin story. Number one, let’s go back to how he started,” he said. “He was a mortal man and a slave and his family was enslaved. He was okay with the status quo and he did not want to interrupt or disrupt anything, yet he had a son who felt like, ‘Wait a second, there’s a better life for us, and how we’re treated and oppressed is wrong and we can do it if we band together.’…I love that we have this opportunity to really show just how powerful and unstoppable Black Adam truly is.”
