They say to know someone’s true character, you should pay attention to the way they treat customer service workers. If that’s true, then a good amount of folks may need an attitude adjustment.

A Florida Amazon delivery driver shared a video on TikTok, asking customers why they run away from her when she drops off their orders, The Daily Dot reports.

The driver/Tiktok user, whose name appears to be Bri, introduces the viral video by telling viewers she’s at work and has a “serious f**king question.”

“Why is it that when y’all see us Amazon delivery drivers about to come and deliver a package off to you guys and you’re outside your house, you guys run inside with the quickness?” she asked.

Bri adds that she’s not sure why people don’t want to interact with their delivery drivers.

“Like, come get your f**king package,” she continued. “I don’t know if that irritates me more than anything, but like, why walk in your house or close your garage door when you see us Amazon delivery drivers coming to you guys? Just take the package. It’s not that hard.”

Surprisingly, most commenters seemed to side with those receiving packages. Many tried to explain why customers may not want to interact with their drivers, while others straight up came for Bri.

“Maybe because covid is still out here,” commented user @a.i.s_mom.

It’s valid reasoning — according to The New York Times, Palm Beach County (where Bri works) rakes up close to 307 new cases of COVID-19 per day. The county has the third-highest number of total cases in 2022, Statista reports.

“Because I’m an introvert I don’t do people,” user @scottmamba added.

One user, @exotic_kay2022, argued they’re paying for door-to-door service.

“Because we pay for the package to be delivered to the residence smh,” they commented.

The user also added that Bri still has to deliver the package so she should “stop being lazy.”

Bri posted a video directly responding to the viewer, explaining that she’s the furthest thing from lazy.

“One, I’m not being lazy, okay? Two, I live in the state of Florida. As of right now, it’s about 91 to 98 fucking degrees and it’s about four o’clock where I’m at. So technically, I’m not being lazy if I’m still doing it,” she said. “What you all fail to understand is I get to work at about nine o’clock and I don’t leave until about seven or eight o’clock at fucking night. So I’m here, basically slaving, every day.”

Replying to @exotic_kay2022 BUT OK. If you was a delivery driver , you would understand the struggle so pipe down 🤭

It may not be a requirement for Amazon buyers to pick up their packages directly from their drivers, but Bri says it would be kind of folks to show some “generosity” and understanding.

“If you see me and you know you have multiple packages coming to your house, just have the common courtesy to be like, ‘Alright, let me help her out a bit. I see I’ve ordered a lot. I can help her,’” she said.
