Here you go filmmakers; we push this initiative on this blog every year. I actually was one of the selected, several years ago, when I was still relatively new to cinema.

It’s strongly recommended, as it gives you some international exposure, and looks good on your resume, as you build your career! You learn from some of the best in whatever individual area of the business is of interest to you, meet other filmmakers from around the world, as well as of the Diaspora, and it’s all in Berlin, while the prestigious festival itself takes place, meaning, you get to watch some good films too!

The Berlinale Talent Campus is essentially a "winter film school" for up and coming filmmakers, that takes place at the same time as the Berlin Film Festival.

The Talent Campus accepts about 300 applicants each year; the attendees come from around the world, and represent just about all of the filmmaking professions.

The event runs 6 days during the festival and features lectures and panel discussions with well known professionals addressing issues in filmmaking today. Workshops, excursions, personal tutoring, coaching and training of participants from different fields of work are all part of the program.

Emerging directors, screenwriters, producers, distributors, world sales agents, actors, cinematographers, editors, production designers, sound designers, film music composers and film critics can apply for the Berlinale Talents 2015. 

Dates of the next Talent campus are February 7-12, 2015, in the venues of the HAU Hebbel am Ufer theatre.
