The attorney of the rapper DaBaby is calling out Brandon Bills, the brother of Dani Leigh, for allegedly using his client as a cash cow.
According to TMZ, Drew Findling, representing the North Carolina rapper, says that Bills has no real case against his client, adding that the case should have been thrown out.
Findling said that Bills started the threats against DaBaby, whose real name is Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, when he told a TMZ photographer last year that he wanted to put the paws on DaBaby.
"It is offensive that this alleged victim threatened and instigated violence," Findling said. " And has now used this incident to make a quick money grab."
The publication also noted that the attorney believes that law enforcement is wasting their time investigating the case, citing Bills' immediate filing of the civil lawsuit as a money grab.
Last week, DaBaby told TMZ that the incident at the bowling alley was simply self-defense, and he believed he needed to protect himself that night.
"Self Defense," DaBaby said. "Shouldn't go around threatening people."
When the cameraman mentions that Bills wanted a fair one and would be interested in offering that to him, Dababy doesn't answer and proceeds into the building. While leaving Ye's documentary screening, DaBaby was asked if he was done with bowling. In response, he said he loved bowling.
The Charlotte rapper and Bills got into a brawl at a bowling alley in Topanga, California. DaBaby and his entourage got the upper hand on Bills, leaving him battered, bruised, and bloody after the fight. DaBaby and his company are banned from the establishment.
