The specific roles that several actors whose casting announcements in the upcoming “Spider-Man: Homecoming” movie were shared on this blog, have been kept mostly underwraps, including those to be played by Zendaya, Bokeem Woodbine, Abraham Attah, Garcelle Beauvais, Hannibal Buress, Donald Glover and Laura Harrier.

It’s long been rumored, since she was initially cast, that Zendaya is the new Mary Jane Watson, but Marvel/Sony have yet to confirm this.

Buress did reveal who his character is, during an interview with Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, confirming a previous unverified rumor that he would be a gym teacher at Peter Parker’s high school.

“Small roles in big movies, that should be my thing. ‘Baywatch’ and the Spider-Man movie, coming out next year,” Buress said of two of his upcoming feature film roles. “In ‘Spider-Man’ I play a gym teacher. I play one of the dumb-ass characters that [doesn’t] realize he’s Spider-Man, he’s Peter Parker.”

So unless he was intentionally misleading us, it’s case closed in Buress’ case.

As for the other actors – Woodbine, Attah, Beauvais and Glover – we’ll have to wait to find out who they play. Unless you folks reading this know something I don’t. If so, share in the comments section below.

The cast of the most diverse Spider-Man movie ever also includes Kenneth Choi, Marisa Tomei, Michael Keaton, and more.

Tom Holland stars as the web-slinger.

Directed by Jon Watts, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” is slated for a July 7, 2017 release.

Watch the first trailer below (although don’t expect to see any of the above names; Zendaya appears for about a second, and Laura Harrier gets about 4. That’s it!):
