Hurricane Chris had words for Jersey club artist Kia Bhn after she shared a lengthy Instagram post explaining her frustrations with the rapper for not including her in his new “My Bay” music video.

On Instagram, Kia shared that she and the “Ay Bay Bay” rapper spoke about her being featured in the music video. Kia also asked him to fly her and her crew to the music video set.

She explained Chris said he would get back to her after speaking with his team. However, days later, the rapper shared behind-the-scenes footage on social media and Kia had no idea the plan went on without her.

However, Hurricane Chris is over the petty drama after extending an olive branch to Kia before the video shoot was complete, regardless of his prior feelings about the sample being used in the “Jersey Anniversary Mix” without him being mentioned.

“People will use you to benefit and not include you,” he wrote. “I reached out to her and she was acting funny like I was nobody. She would not even @ me or say it’s me. I posted her and all! She didn’t want to come down for the video, nothing. Go to her page before she try to change it. No respect! I let it be and left it alone,” he wrote.

In an exclusive interview with The ShadeRoom, Hurricane Chris compared this situation between Kia and himself to a childhood bike jacking — the moral of his story was the song was his first regardless of the flavor Kia added to it years later.

“They stole my bike, spray painted it and called it theirs. My mom told me to go get my bike back. Plain and simple. Now they are talking about how they washed it and fixed it up. Tell ’em thanks. And by the way, they never shouted me out when they went viral with my music. I am the creator of ‘A Bay Bay,” Hurricane Chris said to The Shaderoom.

“Big Hurricane. I tried to let Lil momma (Kai) be a part of it, but she started acting weird and giving everybody credit except me, so she got left out. She never involved me, so we even. Stream ‘My Bay’ on Music360, Spotify, Apple Music, etc. Shout out to Shaderoom for getting facts,” he said.

Kia Bhn is known for remixing Hurricane Chris’s early 2000 track “Ay Bay Bay” with Toni! Tony! Toné!’s hit song “Anniversary.” The mix became the “Jersey Anniversary Remix,” quickly becoming a trending dance and song on TikTok.

Despite the song being a viral track nationwide, Kia claims Hurricane Chris has excluded her and her team from collaborating on the music video and choreography.

Fellow Jersey club artists like CookieeKawaii tweeted against Hurricane Chris to support Kia’s creativity.

“Hurricane Christina, aka Hurricane Chris, definitely should’ve made sure my sis Kia was involved in that video .. even just some dancers from jersey .. Kia LITERALLY made the mix sampled, or not NOBODY was listening to Chris before that mix,” she tweeted.

Is this another case of Jersey club artists being overshadowed and not respected? or does Hurricane Chris have a point?
