Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins is back for a new episode, this time revolving around a murderous mother-in-law.
The third episode, “Monster-In-Law,” follows the story of Jelka Pesic, who killed her daughter-in-law Alexandra because of her son Joe. According to the logline:
Two young people are set up by their parents, leading quickly to love and marriage which is then destroyed by a deranged mother-in-law who orders the killing of a beautiful young woman in broad daylight.
The Vancouver Sun reported in 2008 that Jelka was charged and convicted of hiring a hitman to kill Alexandra, possibly as an attempt to help her son Joe gain custody of his and Alexandra’s then-three-year-old son. In the aftermath of the murder, Joe later eventually “abandoned” his son and neglected to pay child support to a number upwards of $80,000.
The exclusive clip from the episode below paints a picture of Joe as a man who was in the middle of a toxic relationship between his wife and mother, with his family withholding his payment from their family business if he did something that they didn’t like.
Killer Relationship with Faith Jenkins recounts some of America’s true crime stories in which supposedly loving relationships transform into real-life horror. According to the show’s description:
