The new trailer for The Girl in the Spider’s Web, starring Claire Foy, features tiny glimpses of Lakeith Stanfield as NSA agent Ed Needham. However, Stanfield’s character is third-billed on the cast list.

The trailer is gripping and stylish, and perhaps the reason we don’t get much of Stanfield’s character other than tantalizing glimpses is that there must be more to him, and including more in the trailer could spoil everything about the film.

What the trailer does show is that Needham and Foy’s Lisbeth Salander develop a rapport over the course of the film, including Needham taking out Lisbeth’s enemies sniper-style. Stanfield talked about his and Foy’s characters’ relationship with ScreenRant.

“I think he’s very in awe of what she’s able to pull off, the things she’s able to accomplish,” he said to ScreenRant. “He’s like, ‘How does one person do all of this?’ So I think there’s a little admiration, although I don’t think he might admit it.”

The Girl in the Spider’s Web comes to theaters November 9.
