LeBron James and Channing Tatum are making moves with New Line. The studio recently acquired a pitch from James’ SpringHill Entertainment and Tatum’s Free Association called Public Enemy. The two will serve as producers.

Public Enemy will be a “subversive action-comedy that looks at the speed of media in our current landscape.” Lucas Carter has been brought on as the film’s screenwriter, and along with James and Tatum, James’ producing partner Maverick Carter will produce. The project will be overseen by SpringHill’s Spencer Beighley and Jamal Henderson and by Free Association’s Michael Parets and Andrew Schneider.

This isn’t the only thing James has coming down the pike. The basketball star, who executive produced Starz’s critically-acclaimed television series Survivor’s Remorse, has been working closely with New Line to develop a House Party reboot. SpringHill has also sold another idea to Legendary, Hustle, and are producing a new Netflix limited series on Madam CJ Walker titled On Her Own Ground, starring Octavia Spencer. James has also started building his acting resume, guest starring as himself on Survivor’s Remorse and in the Amy Schumer-Bill Hader rom-com Trainwreck.
