Black Panther is among the most-searched Google terms for 2018. The Marvel film, which as been getting tons of award nominations in recent days, ranks among terms such as the World Cup, Hurricane Florence, Mac Miller, Anthony Bourdain, Kate Spade, the Mega Millions lottery results, Stan Lee, Demi Lovato and the 2018 midterm election results.
Chadwick Boseman, who played T’Challa in the film, and Michael B. Jordan, who played Killmonger, are also the most searched actors, ranking among Logan Paul, Bill Cosby, Sylvester Stallone, Pete Davidson, Allison Mack, Noah Centino, Bradley Cooper and Roseanne Barr.
Aside from Black Panther other films featuring black actors that were among the most searched. They include Incredibles 2 featuring Samuel L. Jackson and Deadpool 2 featuring Zazie Beetz and Terry Crews. Also on the list are Avengers: Infinity War featuring Jackson, Boseman and fellow Black Panther stars Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright and Winston Duke along with Don Cheadle, Zoe Saldana and Anthony Mackie, and A Star is Born featuring Shangela and Dave Chappelle.
TV shows featuring black actors were also among the most searched, including Castle Rock, which stars André Holland, Caleel Harris and Chosen Jacobs, Westworld, which stars Tessa Thompson, Thandie Newton and Jeffrey Wright, and On My Block, which stars Sierra Capri, Brett Gray, and Jahking Guillory.
