NLE Choppa and Marissa Da’Nae called it quits earlier this month, and his ex-girlfriend is struggling to cope.
Da’Nae shared an emotional video on Instagram, tearfully addressing how hard it is for her to deal with her new reality. Shortly after the video hit Instagram, it went viral, and the Memphis rapper had some thoughts to share. His reaction showed he cared for Da’Nae, as you see him asking his fans to “be gentle” with his ex while they work on moving on from each other.
On Sept. 16, a very mature Choppa uploaded a 37-minute video onto his Youtube channel to discuss the topic.
“To begin, I take full blame, full accountability, full responsibility of all my actions, what I put myself in, and just the outcome of any situation” he shared.
He went on to immediately speak highly of his ex.
“Before I even get into that lovely woman, that’s really the best relationship I’ve ever had. She’s the most loving, sweetest, kindest person, so this video aint to diss her,” he continued.
He professed although she’s brilliant and their experience together was beautiful, he isn’t ready to be committed to only one woman.
Several moments later, Choppa took to Twitter to blast folks for clowning Da’Nae’s sentimental video.
“Some people don’t know how to grieve; that’s something I have to understand. If they do it publicly, privately, or whatever least they letting their hurt out,” he wrote. “That’s the detox. Understand that some people love hard, so certain things hit them HARDER!”

Once Marissa peeped her ex’s response to her lamentable video, she issued another statement, thanking the people who have reached out, checked on her, and sent words of encouragement.
“Yesterday, I was trying to deal with a new pain and unfortunately, it took over,” Marissa said.
She then emphasized that she’s “not embarrassed or ashamed” by expressing how she truly feels.
“We are human. I love hard, I love him, and that’s my Best Friend,” she shared, “Separating from my world is really kinda hard when you have to move to another world you’re not used to,” she said.
Da’Nae continued by sharing a message to the people who chose to say hurtful things to her during this time and wished badly for her downfall.
“I pray for your heart and soul. I pray that whenever you have something heavy on your heart, that God holds you and no one laughs at you really thought that I was gonna marry this man,” she sai in between her tears.
We are sending positive vibes to these two! We are glad to see the amount of respect they have for one another.
