Phaedra Parks’ long-awaited return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta may be near. According to several media outlets, producers are hoping to bring Parks back for season 14.

Parks’ wit and ability to shade her co-stars effortlessly made her a fan favorite. Her firing came following the close of season 9 after Porsha Williams revealed that Parks was the mastermind behind rumors of Kandi Burruss plotting to drug Williams. The revelation came during part 2 of the season 9 reunion.

Fans, co-stars and even Bravo honcho Andy Cohen were shocked by Parks’ involvement. She and Burruss were once close friends whose friendship deteriorated amid Parks’ divorce from Apollo Nida and Burruss’ insistence that Parks was putting up a facade about who she truly is.

For years, fans have begged for Parks’ return, complaining that the show became boring in her absence. But Burruss has been adamant that if Parks returns, it’ll mark her end on the show. Burruss says Parks took things too far with the rumor.

Apparently, season 13 was so lackluster that Bravo wants Parks back. Viewers complained of contrived storylines and horrible additions of new housewives. The request for Parks grew louder on social media in recent weeks. Bravo has allegedly been paying attention to the noise.

“There’s going to be a big cast shake-up next season and some producers are mulling over asking Phaedra Parks to return,” a source tells The Sun. “The hope is that having fan favorites like Phaedra come back will help the show rise back into the 2 million viewers-a-week arena.”

The news comes just a week after it was announced that Parks will be appearing on a special upcoming episode of Watch What Happens Live. Parks previously said she had no desire to return to the show.
