Every woman has gone through their teen heartthrob obsession stage, and actress Skai Jackson, 20, is no different. While appearing on Jennifer Hudson’s talk show, Jackson revealed that Justin Bieber left her a note ten years ago that she still holds on to.
Before discussing the signed note, Jackson revealed that Nicki Minaj and Rihanna were the only celebrities that made her starstruck. While reflecting on how Minaj and RiRi impacted her life, Jackson also mentioned she was a die-hard ‘Belieber’ as a child.
“And I heard you had a thing for Justin Bieber?” Hudson questioned Jackson.
“Yes, Justin Bieber. So I used to be a huge fan of his when I was little. I remember one time, yeah, I used to work on the soundstage, and he came to film another show. So I was like, I will wait hours to see him like, I do not care,” Jackson explained.
“So I waited this little 6 hours, he didn’t come. My mom’s like, we have to go like we’re not staying here all day. So I cried about it. About two months later, I was at someone’s apartment building, and he was visiting someone in the apartment building,” she said.
Like any crazed fan with an ample chance of meeting their favorite celebrity, Jackson took matters into her hands and called her mother to come on set and set up a photo-op moment with Bieber.
“So I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, where is he at?’ They’re like, ‘He already came through.’ Cried again about it.” she said.
Jackson continued telling Hudson another opportunity to meet Bieber magically presented itself.
“And then one day we are filming, and next thing you know, I come out, and I see him and Selena Gomez standing there,” she continued. “And I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh.’ My mom wasn’t there that day, so I called her, and I’m like, Justin Bieber is here; you need to come.”
Bieber not only took a picture with Jackson, but he also left her an autographed note in her dressing room. Jackson reflected on her happiness when she found the ten-year-old note while cleaning her room.
“He didn’t sing, but he snuck in my dressing room and wrote a huge note for me and autographed it,” Jackson shared. “I still have it to this day. Oh, that is so I was cleaning my closet, and I found it again. I was like, ‘Thank God.’ So I put it away. But it’s been, like, ten years. I still have it.”
