Sony has moved The Equalizer 2…again.

Originally set for September 14, 2018, it was moved to August 10, then it was moved to August 3 and now it is looking at a July 20 release date.

This removes the film from most direct competition, with the only new release being Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Alita: Battle Angel, which co-stars Mahershala Ali, was set for this date, but has been pushed to December.

Based on the television series of the same name, The Equalizer 2 follows Denzel Washington as a retired CIA agent who now is a for-hire justice-seeker for those looking for help rather than the police.

Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo are confirmed to return for the sequel. Moonlight star Ashton Sanders has been cast in a leading role as a character who is a son figure to Washington. Additionally, Narcos star Pedro Pascal will portray a villain.
