A new clip has been released from the Stella Meghie-directed comedy The Weekend. For those unfamiliar, the romantic comedy, which just premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, stars Saturday Night Live alum Sasheer Zamata as  Zadie, a stand-up comic who winds up taking a road trip with her ex-boyfriend, Bradford, to his mother’s bed and breakfast. As if that was not enough of a hassle, her ex’s current girlfriend, Margo, played by the DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It) goes along for the ride.

In the hilarious clip, Zadie and Bradford are depicted picking up Margo for their eventual road trip. Bringing her sardonic brand of humor along for the ride, Zadie reacts passive-aggressively to Margo’s request that she sit in the back seat in order for her sit alongside Bradford. Zadie eventually agrees, begrudgingly so.

The Weekend, also stars Kym Whitley and Y’lan Noel.
