The Young and the Restless star Mishael Morgan has experienced a devastating loss as members of her family have died in a fire.

Morgan informed folks on social media that her husband’s brother, Nazir Ali, and his wife, Raven O’Dea, along with their three children, passed early Monday due to a house fire in their Brompton, Ontario (Canada) home.

“On Monday morning my husband’s only brother, perished with his wife & 3 kids in a tragic house fire,” Morgan wrote.  “I am still in absolute disbelief. My sister-in-law set up a fund, please pray for my family & donate if you are able.”

Fire chief Bill Boyles of the Brompton Fire Department took to Twitter to inform the community of the tragedy. ”Extremely saddened to report that 2 adults & 3 children have lost their lives in this tragic fire,” he wrote.

A GoFundMe has been set up by Bismah Ali, the sister of Navid and Nazir. The GoFundMe will cover funeral arrangements and memorial costs. The couple is described as ”two of the most amazing young people, who dedicated their lives to their children. They were loving, selfless, and empathetic. Nazir was a loving son and caring brother to his 5 siblings and Raven was a loving daughter caring sister to her 4 siblings.” The GoFundMe has a goal of $150,000.

O’Dea’s father told Global News the fire grew out of control due to the fact they didn’t have working fire alarms in the house, something that was realized in a recent inspection.
