Below is a trailer for an upcoming new documentary from Tyler Gregory Okonma, better known by his stage name, rapper, artist, writer Tyler, The Creator, co-founder of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future, and creator of all the artwork for the group’s releases, as well as designs of all the group’s clothing and other merchandise.
The documentary, co-produced by film production crew Illegal Civilization, is about the making of Tyler’s most recent album, 2015’s “Cherry Bomb,” also his fourth album, which was released digitally on April 13, 2015, through Tyler’s own label Odd Future Records, with physical copies of the album featuring five different album covers.
The album features performances from notable artists such as Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Schoolboy Q, and was supported with a world tour through North America, Europe and Asia, beginning at Coachella music festival on April 11, 2015 and ending in Tokyo, Japan in September 2015.
Many of the artists on the album are also featured in cinéma-vérité style the documentary, which will be released in January 2017, under the title “Cherry Bomb: The Documentary.”
