F. Gary Gray came up with the story for, and directed the below animated short, for the upcoming video game, "Assassin’s Creed Syndicate."
Illustrated by comic book artist Pop Mhan, the animated short follows the story of the Industrial Revolution in London, 1868 and the birth of organized crime, led by Assassin’s Creed Syndicate protagonist, Jacob Frye and his sister, Evie.
"London. 1868. The Industrial Revolution. An age of invention and prosperity, built on the backs of working class slaves. As gangster assassin Jacob Frye, you will recruit your gang to fight for justice on behalf of the oppressed working class. Lead the underworld to take back London in a visceral adventure filled with action, intrigue and brutal combat."
"Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate" will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on October 23, 2015.
By the way, there is also a live-action film adaptation of the video game, which Michael Fassbender is starring in, with Marion Cotillard and Michael Kenneth Williams joining him. Justin Kurzel will be directing the movie, which currently has a late 2016 release date set (Kurzel also directed Fassbender in "Macbeth," which has been receiving a lot of praise since its Cannes Film Festival 2015 debut in May. It’ll likely be an Oscar contender.
