After watching the two trailers for this new documentary, Harlem USA, I was totally hooked; and I'll wager to bet you will be too.

A beautfully photograped, atmospheric look at the people and the various lives that make Harlem what it is, the film is credited to filmmaker Eric Schachter, but he rejects the title of director saying that it "was directed by the people that it is about." 

He says that the film was made for "the residents to have a voice and to let the world know just how it is between 110th St and 155th Street from the East Side to the West Side."

The film will be screened in Montreal at the Cinerobotheque on June 19 and 21st. Afterwards, it moves to London, where it will be shown at the Brixton Ritzy on June 27th.

After that, it travels across the big pond again for a showing at The Auburn Avenue Reasearch LIbrary in Atlanta Georgia on June 30th.

One hopes that further screenings will follow including, of course, Harlem itself.
