John Malveaux of MusicUNTOLD.com has announced that filmmaker Michael Pinckney, who made the feature film You’re Nobody Until Somebody Kills You (which we have written about before on S & A), and who is president of BlackNoise Media in New York, will film the upcoming 50th Anniversary March on Washington concert this summer, for a planned concert film.

The event will take place in Los Angeles on Sunday August 18 at the AT&T Center, and is sponsored by KUSC Classical Radio in L.A.

There is currently an open call for classical and opera performing artists, choral groups and chamber ensembles to donate their time to perform at the event, with the deadline for submissions set for April 30, 2013.
