Alfonso Ribeiro, known for his role as Carlton Banks on the 90's sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, said he doesn't feel accepted by the Black community because he married a white woman.

During the interview with Atlanta Black Star, the actor said he suspects it's because of his partner.

The interviewer highlighted an episode from the 90’s sitcom where Carlton was rejected from a fraternity because he wasn’t Black enough. The reporter asked the television host, if he experienced this type of treatment throughout his life.

“It still happens almost every day, unfortunately. I am in a mixed relationship," Ribiero responded. "And I get things and looks and comments constantly…you’re not at home in any home. I’m never going to be white and I’m never going to be fully supported in the Black house."

“I will support any person that wants to live in a world that they want to live in," he continued. "I’ll support a racist person to live in a world that they want to live in. They don’t have to be around me.”

Some took to Twitter to remind him of why he may not feel accepted by all members of the Black community.

Others told him that despite his beliefs, no one is concerned with him or his white wife.

Although many people aren't concerned with Ribeiro or his marriage, the America’s Funniest Videos host strongly believes he's been scrutinized by the Black community.

But Ribeiro told the Atlantic Black Star that at this point in his life he can only try to be the best version of himself "and continue to love everybody equally, and let it fall where it falls."
