Former President Barack Obama never disappoints when it comes to honoring his wife on special occasions. The romantic husband continued his usual ways on Sunday when Michelle Obama celebrated her 57th birthday, revealing a heartwarming throwback photo of the former first lady and adding an affectionate nickname.

"Happy birthday to my love, my partner, and my best friend. Every moment with you is a blessing. Love you, Miche," Barack wrote on Instagram.

This, of course, is not the first time Barack has swooned for his wife. The charismatic former president often uses special occasions to show his affection for the forever FLOTUS.

In October, he dedicated a touching post to Michelle in honor of their wedding anniversary.

"Even with everything going on, I wanted to take a moment to say happy anniversary to the love of my life. Every day with Michelle Obama makes me a better husband, a better father, and a better human," he wrote.

The Obama love fest is definitely not one-sided as the two tribute each other quite often. On that same anniversary, Michelle had her own post celebrating her husband.

"28 years with this one. I love Barack Obama for his smile, his character, and his compassion," she wrote. "So grateful to have him as a partner through everything life throws at us.'

She also used the opportunity to make a special request to the public.

"Pick one person in your life who might not vote and make sure they do," she wrote. "Tell us about it in the comments! That’s an anniversary message of the best kind. Love you, Barack."

The couple has continually expressed their love for each other since coming to the public eye.

"[Mrs. Obama] has been more relaxed and more joyful since we left office. That allowed us to just enjoy the deep love that comes with a marriage this long. But also to be friends again," Barack told People in November.

The Harvard Law School graduated has obviously achieved numerous accomplishments in his life, but he always makes sure to give the credit to his wife.

"Obviously I couldn't have done anything that I've done without Michelle," he told Oprah Winfrey in 2011. "Not only has she been a great first lady, she is just my rock. I count on her in so many ways every single day."

If he had to describe his greatest accomplishments, Obama said he would start with his marriage.

"If you were going to list the 100 most popular things that I have done as president, being married to Michelle Obama is number one," he said during his State of the Union Address in 2010, according to People.
