Nicki Minaj is getting out of the rap game.

The Queen Radio host tweeted she was retiring from music to focus on building a family with boyfriend Kenneth “Zoo” Petty.

“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me … Love you for LIFE,” she wrote.

Nicki is serious about her relationship with Petty. The couple went public with their love in December 2018 by posting a picture of themselves on the ‘gram.

The announcement was less than a year ago, but the couple is hearing wedding bells. They picked up a marriage license a couple of months ago, but it expired due to the rapper’s schedule, according to ET.

“We still had to pick it up and I was traveling, by the time I came back, we had to renew it again,” she said during the August 12 episode of Queen Radio. “From that time, you have 90 days to get married. That was about a week ago, so now I have about 80 days.”

The “Megatron” rapper said the couple planned to marry soon to honor the second marriage license.

“I have to work on my album and I have a lot to focus on that I don’t want to do the big wedding now. We’ll do the big wedding later,” Minaj added. “I’ll be married before my album comes out but will have my wedding after the album comes out. Before the 90 days is over, yes, I will be married.”

Four days later, Minaj changed her Twitter headline from Ms. Minaj to Mrs. Petty, reported People Magazine.

Their relationship has been mired with controversy due to Petty’s criminal history. He is currently a registered sex offender in New York and served time for manslaughter. Despite the critiques, Nicki stood by her man.

“He was 15, she was 16 … in a relationship. But go awf Internet,” she said on Instagram. “Y’all can’t run my life. Y’all can’t even run y’all own life. Thank you boo.”
