The Memorial Day killing of George Floyd has resulted in millions of donations to ensure his family is well taken care of as they continue to fight for justice in his memory. However, one unique gift stands out from the rest, and it definitely has long-term gain.

On Saturday, Floyd's 6-year-old daughter Gianna Floyd revealed on Instagram that singer Barbra Streisand made her a Disney stockholder while holding up what appears to be the official proclamation and smiling for the camera.

"Thank You @barbrastreisand for my package, I am now a Disney Stockholder thanks to you," the caption read.

Although it wasn't revealed how many shares the "Memory" crooner purchased for the young girl, a representative for Streisand did confirm to CNN the gift did in fact come from the 78-year-old performer.

The representative also communicated a message from Streisand about the gift.

"I sent Gianna videos where I played a little girl in my first television special singing kid songs and my second special a sequence with lots of baby animals."

Along with the shares, the network shared Streisand also gifted Gianna two of her albums, My Name Is Barbra and Color Me Barbra.

This is not the first celebrity-sponsored contribution since Floyd's tragic murder at the hands of Derek Chauvin and three other officers from the Minneapolis Police Department. As Blavity previously reported, Kanye West pledged $2 million to the families of recent victims of gun violence and Black businesses suffering in the wake of COVID-19. Part of that gift includes a 529 college savings fund for Gianna, which will cover her tuition when she eventually enrolls.

Although she has at least a decade before committing to undergraduate education, one school has already promised to grant Gianna a full ride. Houston-based HBCU Texas Southern University made the announcement via Twitter.

The official GoFundMe account set up for Gianna has already surpassed its $2 million goal and, as of press time, has garnered $2.16 million in donations. Managed by her mother, Gianna's Instagram page largely features images of her posing alongside her father as well as updates on the Floyd family's quest for justice on behalf of the late 46-year-old. According to CNN, Floyd's family will move forward with a lawsuit against Chauvin, with every intention of "holding Derek Chauvin fully accountable in every aspect, criminal and civil," family attorney Benjamin Crump said.

"It wasn’t just the knee of Derek Chauvin that killed George Floyd in Minneapolis, it was the knee of the entire police department. Because when you have that kind of culture and behavior of a police department, it is foreseeable that something like this is going to happen," he continued.
